Customer Rating: Summary: Less challenging, but still a good workout nonetheless Comment: I really like these workouts. They're not as challenging as say Burn and Shape or Cardio Inferno, but I think they're still a good workout. Especially for building muscle tone. Great cardio for beginners or someone who is looking to lose a lot of weight. Less challenging for people who are already in shape or only have 10 pounds to go.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun for natural dancers, but... Comment: As much as I like doing The Firm (I bought this set to progress with my fitness regimen), these DVDs were outright frustrating! Do they work? Of course...once you get the routines right, which I have yet to do!
My main complaint is that every workout seems to be a dance routine. That's all well and good if you were born with a natural sense of rhythm and love to dance, but I'm one of the rare, unlucky few that wasn't born with such talent. When it comes to these videos, especially Cardio Overdrive (Which I tried and failed at for the fourth time this morning), I'm not Speedy Gonzales, I'm his cousin Slowpoke. Even when I follow Sue Mi Powell ('the beginner'), I can't get it right because they're moving too fast! It's downright infuriating and even discouraging when you try something again and again, and keep failing at it. Then of course, there are the weights. I'm with everybody else on this one: The weights aren't heavy enough, and I find them a bit cumbersome when I get to the 'stir the pot' part. Luckily, I substitute my 3 and 5 pound weights that I bought for the original Firm workout, so I guess I can't really complain about that.
Anyway, here's the deal: The Firm TransFIRMation System can/does work and it is worth the money when it comes to the experienced Firm addict. But if you're a novice or can't dance too well, my suggestion is to find an alternative workout system.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not the same system advertised on TV Comment: This is NOT the same system that is advertised on TV. The tv commercials advertise for a system that offers 2 weights that can be adjusted up to 18 lbs each. This system only includes a total of 10 lbs of weights.
This system also does not include the work out schedule, pass to online workour site or meal planning guide.
Don't let the packaging fool you like it did me!!
Customer Rating: Summary: The FIRM really does, well, firm!!! Comment: I've been a huge Firm fan for years and this kit is right up there with the rest of the Firm products. My favorite thing about this product is that there are "express" options on the workouts, so no more excuses for not working out. The Firm worked for me (60 pounds lost!) and it will work for you too!
Customer Rating: Summary: Workouts okay, but need more weights. Comment: I bought this set for the videos, which I've only used each DVD once, but I like them so far. I'm hoping they'll grow on me a little more the more I do them and learn some of the moves better. I really didn't need the weights, but if I had, I was a bit disappointed there weren't more than four weights to add on. I need heavier weights than this set provides.
